Lawrence English, “Watching it Unfold,” A Colour for Autumn (12K)

As far as minimalism goes, it is hard to find a breed that captivates, once you get past the form’s masters. Lawrence English, though, captures the essence of minimalism by focusing on the core of the form—solidity of thought and experience through gradual development. As with just about everything I’ve heard from 12K, A Colour for Autumn is an exceptional record, beautifully recorded and conceived.
