Jeff Martin, the main man behind Idaho (he has had a shifting group of musical partners), makes some of the best music rarely heard. And he has been doing it for a long time. Since the 80s, Martin has delivered a continual flow of exceptional recordings, most mellow and atmospheric. The word cinematic sometimes gets used, and the spaciousness and breadth in Idaho’s work fits this attribution.
