Mainer’s Mountaineers, “Poor Drunkard’s Dream”
J.E. Mainer bridged Old Time music with the oncoming Bluegrass that would soon rise on the American scene. Born in 1898 in North Carolina, Mainer lived through this transition and, like Boggs, the folk revival of the 60s.
