Dock Boggs, “Pretty Polly”
Boggs is one of the true original voices in American music, both before his “discovery” by the folkies of the sixties and after. Incapable of perversion and subversion by their accolades, Boggs gained a wider audience, but never lost the ethereal power of his voice nor the raw strength in his interpretations of traditional music.
