Mary Halvorson and Jessica Pavone
I find this completely intoxicating. It feels like the musics of Dock Boggs, Anton Shoenberg, Paul Bowles, Frank Zappa and a Middle Eastern orchestra were extruded and formed into a healthy, reliable plant. Ms Halvorson is getting some serious hum from her single-coil pickups here, giving it the authenticity it deserves. I think she is not grounded. In fact I am sure of it: she is hovering gracecully.
