My new long-distance best friend Sven Fröberg of Greek Theatre has recommended Anna Järvinen to me, and three cheers to Sven. Listen to this absolutely gorgeous song. Järvinen has worked extensively with the mad-scientist-geniuses in Dungen: Gustav Estes even produced her second album. The block chords of the piano, 25% Brill Building 75% heavenly, give this song a perfect cloud on which her voice can blow. There is something so moving about the simple fragility of this song, how her voice rises and falls, entwines with the piano and guitar and reverberates off of the walls of that church.
